The Priceless Role of Fidelity in Marriage: A Forgotten Foundation of Peace and Inheritance

By: eric paddy boso

Marriage, from time immemorial, has never been a mere social contract. It has always been the divine and cultural institution upon which families, clans, kingdoms, and entire societies were built. At its heart lies one sacred and nonnegotiable principle: fidelity. The holy scriptures warned not only of the dangers of an unfaithful woman, but also of how her betrayal can shake thrones, destroy mighty men, scatter families, and plunge empires into conflict.

Today, when we trace the roots of many chieftaincy disputes, family conflicts, wars over inheritances, and long-standing misunderstandings, one undeniable truth emerges: somewhere along the line, the covenant of loyalty in marriage was broken.

1. The Price of a Woman: Loyalty

Every institution has its foundation. For marriage, the foundation is loyalty. The role of a woman in the sacred union of marriage is not measured by outward beauty, wealth, or social status?it is measured by her capacity to be faithful, trustworthy, and protective of her husband?s lineage.

When loyalty is present, the family thrives. Properties are preserved, heirs are clearly recognized, and the spirits of the ancestors rest in peace knowing their heritage is secure. But when fidelity is compromised, chaos is unleashed. A single act of disloyalty can rearrange the destiny of generations.

2. The Ripple Effect of Infidelity

Infidelity is often treated as a private matter, something to gossip about in secrecy or dismiss as ?common.? But history and tradition tell a harsher truth: infidelity has destroyed kings, dethroned rulers, divided families, and even caused bloodshed.

Heirship disputes: When children born into a lineage are tainted with questions of paternity, families divide, brothers fight, and kingdoms fall into civil wars.

Inheritance in wrong hands: When loyalty is broken, inheritances pass to those with no rightful claim, causing spiritual unrest and endless generational curses.

Ancestral displeasure: Our forefathers understood that the ancestors cannot bless what is polluted. Many men?s blessings remain blocked because they married a disloyal woman?the ancestors refuse to release wealth and honor to be shared with someone unworthy.

3. Stop Bargaining for Worthless Products

The time has come for men to awaken from slumber and stop bargaining for ?worthless products.? Too many choose wives based on looks, charm, or superficial attraction, while neglecting the one eternal currency of marriage?loyalty.

Looks fade. Wealth can vanish. Charm can deceive. But loyalty preserves the house, protects the inheritance, and ensures peace from one generation to the next.

As men, you must stop settling for less. Do not marry a woman who cannot stand firm in loyalty. If she cannot protect your name, your children, your property, and your heritage?she has no rightful place in your destiny.

4. The Purpose of Marriage: Preservation of Heritage

Marriage was not designed merely for companionship or pleasure. Its higher purpose is the preservation and stability of families and societies. By ensuring loyalty within marriage, property is protected, children are secured in their rightful place, and disputes over kingships, heirships, and inheritances are avoided.

When loyalty breaks, families become battlegrounds. Brothers turn against each other. Cousins rise in rivalry. The peace of entire communities is stolen.

5. Wisdom for Today

Men must be wise. Do not be blinded by appearances or seduced by fake love. Your life, your blessings, and even your spiritual inheritance are at stake. Many men remain stagnant not because they lack effort, but because they are yoked to the wrong women?women who cannot be trusted with their destiny.

The ancestors do not joke with lineage and inheritance. They withhold blessings when they see a disloyal woman in the house. Before marriage, examine carefully: is she loyal? Can she protect what matters? If not, it is better to remain single than to hand over your family?s peace to destruction.

Loyalty is the true price of marriage. It is the foundation upon which kingdoms rest and the safeguard of family heritage. Men must rise above superficial desires and pay attention to what truly matters. Marry loyalty, not looks. Choose faithfulness, not fleeting charm.

Only then can we end unnecessary conflicts, preserve the integrity of families, and maintain the peace and heritage that our ancestors labored to protect. Life can be better, but it begins with wisdom in marriage.
